Expert Group Meeting on Technology for Active Ageing and Report Launch
To overcome the challenges and grasp the opportunities presented by ageing societies, the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing (MIPAA) offers a comprehensive action plan and calls for embracing the potential of the ageing populations as a basis for future development.
The publication “Leveraging Technology for the Madrid International Plan of Action on Ageing: Experiences of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea” will be launched at the meeting, providing useful references to Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) member States in customizing the use of technology for active ageing as well as formulating forward-looking policies based on national contexts.
The meeting will be organized in connection with the first consultation of ESCAP member States on the Asia-Pacific Fourth Review and Appraisal of the MIPAA to be held on 6 and 7 May 2021.
