UN ESCAP is collaborating with the Government of Papua New Guinea and the Papua New Guinea Investment and Promotion Authority to jointly organize the APBF 2019 in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea on 21-21 June, 2019. The Forum is also being supported by Pacific Trade and Invest of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat; the Business Council of Papua New Guinea; the Papua New Guinea Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The theme of APBF is 2019 is “Global Goals, Local Opportunities.” Under this theme, participants of the APBF 2019 will have the opportunity to discuss the role and responsibilities of business in sustainable development, with a focus on the sustainable solutions business can offer to meet the needs of rural and urban communities alike in Asia and the Pacific. The Forum will showcase current and future business opportunities in the Pacific and allow participants an opportunity to hear and meet key decision makers, business leaders and emerging entrepreneurs committed to sustainable development across the Asia and Pacific region. Furthermore, it will also offer business matchmaking events for key sustainable industries in the Pacific.
