AI for Social Good Summit: Kick-Off Session
November is AI for Social Good Month. Join a virtual series of investigative discussions, conversations, and policy briefings with leading AI thinkers and doers from Asia and beyond Artificial Intelligence demonstrates immense potential for bringing economic and social benefits by revolutionising areas such as healthcare, public services, finance, education and communications. However the benefits of AI’s potential are at risk of being offset by a list of challenges including job losses, data privacy concerns and increasing inequity.
Stakeholders from the public, private and social sectors must come together to co-create policy and governance measured for AI. Active participation is needed to ensure that AI is used effectively for the good of communities and society as a whole. The AI for Social Good Summit developed in partnership with UN ESCAP, APRU and Google offers a platform for discussion to regional experts and practitioners in AI and governance. It aims to bridge the knowledge gap between academics and decision-makers in the Asia Pacific region and to facilitate support the creation of AI for Social Good.
